Description of Service

AltTask provides cloud-based software and applications for businesses, including associated offline and mobile applications (“Service” or “Services”). Users may utilize the Services for personal, business, or internal organizational purposes. Access to the Services requires an internet connection and a compatible browser.

Beta Service

Certain Services may be offered as closed or open beta services (“Beta Service” or “Beta Services”) for testing and evaluation purposes. AltTask reserves the right to determine the testing period and the decision to offer Beta Services commercially. AltTask may discontinue Beta Services, with or without notice, at its discretion, and shall not be liable for any related harm or damages.

Free Trial

Users may register for a free trial of Services, subject to terms outlined during sign-up. AltTask provides trial Services on a trial basis until the end of the trial period or termination by AltTask. Data entered or customized during the trial may be lost unless a paid subscription is purchased or data is exported before the trial ends. Trial Services are provided as-is without warranty, to the extent permitted by law.

User Sign-up Obligations

Users must provide accurate information during the sign-up process and promptly update any changes. AltTask may terminate accounts with inaccurate or incomplete information. Corporate users are encouraged to sign up with corporate contact information.

Restrictions on Use

Users agree not to transfer, share, or misuse the Services. Prohibited activities include unauthorized access, interference with system integrity, and posting of unauthorized content. Additionally, users must comply with applicable laws and refrain from activities that threaten national security or public order.

Spamming and Illegal Activities

Users are solely responsible for their transmitted content and must not engage in illegal or harmful activities, including spamming and transmission of malicious code. AltTask reserves the right to terminate access for users engaged in unauthorized or illegal activities.

Third-Party Applications

AltTask may integrate with third-party applications, subject to their respective terms and conditions. Users are responsible for understanding and accepting Third Party Terms before accessing or using such applications. AltTask is not liable for Third Party Applications.

Acceptance of Terms

By using AltTask’s services, users agree to these Terms of Service and any additional terms applicable to specific services. Continued use of the services implies acceptance of these terms.

AltTask’s services are subject to change or discontinuation without notice.

User Accounts

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and accept responsibility for all account activities.

User Conduct

Users agree not to engage in activities violating laws, interfering with service security, harassing others, or transmitting malicious code.

Content Ownership

Users retain ownership of content uploaded to AltTask’s services but grant AltTask a license to use such content for service provision.

Fees and Payments

Subscription plans are available for various durations and are automatically renewed unless canceled. AltTask may change prices or introduce charges for previously free services. Users are responsible for Taxes applicable to their subscriptions.

Personal Information and Privacy

The AltTask Privacy Policy governs the personal information you supply through the Service. By choosing to use the Service, you consent to the terms outlined in the AltTask Privacy Policy. You must safeguard the confidentiality of your username, password, and any other private information. You are liable for every action taken under your user account and must promptly report any unauthorized use of your account by emailing [email protected] or by reaching out to us at the numbers available at https://alttask.com/contact. We are not accountable for any losses or damages that you or any third party may suffer due to unauthorized access and/or use of your user account, or for any other reason.

Communications from AltTask

The Service may feature specific communications from AltTask, including service announcements, administrative messages, and newsletters. You acknowledge that these communications are deemed an integral aspect of using the Services. In line with our commitment to offer you complete privacy, we also afford you the choice to opt out of receiving newsletters from us. Nonetheless, it is not possible to opt out of receiving service announcements and administrative messages.

Complaints

If we receive a complaint from any person regarding your activities as part of using the Services (except where the grievance redressal mechanism outlined under “Grievance Redressal” applies), we will send the complaint to the primary email address associated with your user account. You are required to directly respond to the complainant within 10 days of receiving the complaint we forwarded and include AltTask in the correspondence.

Should you fail to reply to the complainant within 10 days from the date of our email to you, we reserve the right to disclose your name and contact details to the complainant to facilitate legal action against you. You acknowledge that not responding to the forwarded complaint within the stipulated 10-day period will be interpreted as your agreement to the disclosure of your name and contact information by AltTask to the complainant.

Inactive User Accounts Policy

We reserve the right to terminate any unpaid user accounts that have been inactive for a continuous period of 120 days. Should such termination occur, all data linked to the inactive user account will be erased. We will notify you in advance of any impending termination to allow you to back up your data. This data deletion policy may apply to any or all of the Services we offer. Each Service is regarded as an independent and distinct service to determine the period of inactivity. Therefore, being active in one Service does not suffice to maintain activity status for your user account in another Service. For accounts that are accessed by multiple users, the account will not be deemed inactive if at least one of the users shows activity.

Data Ownership

We honor your ownership rights over content that you create or store. The content created or stored by you remains yours. Your utilization of the Services does not afford AltTask the right to use, reproduce, adapt, modify, publish, or distribute the content you’ve created or saved in your user account for commercial, marketing, or any similar purposes, without your explicit consent. However, you do grant AltTask the permission to access, copy, distribute, store, transmit, reformat, publicly display, and publicly perform the content within your user account, but strictly to deliver the Services to you.

User Generated Content

You may share or publish content created by you using any of the Services or through other means. However, you bear full responsibility for such content and the repercussions of its sharing or publication. If you publish news and current affairs content as categorized under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, you must provide the necessary information to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as mandated by Rule 18. Any content you make public will be accessible on the internet and may be indexed by search engines. You must ensure you do not inadvertently make private content public. Content received from other users of the Services is given to you AS IS for your informational and personal use only, and you agree not to use, copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, broadcast, display, sell, license, or exploit such content for any other purposes without the express written consent of the content rights holder. In using any of the Services, if you encounter content with copyright notices or copy protection features, you agree not to remove or disable these protections. By sharing any copyrighted or copyright-eligible content on the Services, you confirm that you have the necessary consent, authorization, or permission from every individual who may hold rights in such content to share it in this way. Additionally, by making content available in the manner described, you expressly agree that AltTask has the right to block access to or remove content you’ve shared if complaints are received regarding illegality or infringement of third-party rights. By using the Services and sharing or publishing content through them, you expressly consent to the determination of questions of illegality or infringement of third-party rights in such content by the agent designated by AltTask for this purpose.

Trademark

The AltTask name, AltTask logo, the names of individual Services, and their logos are trademarks of AltTask Corporation Private Limited. You agree not to display or use, in any manner, the AltTask trademarks, without AltTask’s prior permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. ALTTASK EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ALTTASK MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SERVICES IS DONE AT YOUR DISCRETION AND RISK, AND YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM, MOBILE DEVICE, OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OR USE OF ANY SUCH MATERIAL. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED BY YOU FROM ALTTASK OR THROUGH THE SERVICES SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THIS AGREEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

YOU AGREE THAT ALTTASK SHALL, IN NO EVENT, BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR OTHER LOSS OR DAMAGE WHATSOEVER OR FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, COMPUTER FAILURE, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR OTHER LOSS ARISING OUT OF OR CAUSED BY YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ALTTASK HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

Governing law and Jurisdiction

Any dispute or claim arising from or related to these Terms will be resolved and exclusively determined by the courts of Ahmedabad, following the laws of India, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provisions.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend your account or temporarily restrict access to all or part of any Service if we suspect illegal activity, observe prolonged periods of inactivity, or receive requests from law enforcement or other governmental bodies. If your account is suspended or access is disabled, you should raise any objections to [email protected] within thirty days of receiving notice of the suspension. After thirty days, we may permanently close a suspended or disabled account. Additionally, you can request the termination of your account at any time.

Furthermore, we reserve the right to terminate your account and deny access to the Services if we reasonably believe you have breached the Agreement, or to end your access to any Beta Service due to unforeseen technical problems or discontinuation of the Beta Service. If AltTask fails to meet its obligations under this Agreement, you have the right to terminate your account, in which case you may be eligible for a prorated refund of any prepaid fees. Termination includes the removal of access to all Services, the deletion of your account details like your email address and password, and the erasure of all data within your account.

Intellectual Property

All content and materials on AltTask’s website are the property of AltTask or its suppliers and are protected by international copyright laws.

Changes to Terms

AltTask may modify or replace these terms at any time. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
